Both units of work are 12/13 lessons. These were designed as curriculum building on prior learning, revisiting and culminating in major assessment tasks. The ideal is to present as it is written, whereby teachers are also giving themselves time to understand and become familiar with new content around Ancient Australian History.
As most schools have not to date build this into current curriculum, many teachers are adapting units of work into their smaller time frame until time allows the whole unit to be taught. Any lesson, particularly the second units on unpacking the archaeology and geology at Mungo are stand alone units, and can be adapted into current focus of work.
